FAQ: Purchasing and pricing
FAQ: Purchasing and pricing
How do I buy BusDK?
For commercial purchase discussions, contact sales at sales@hg.fi. This is the documented purchase path in the public pricing pages.
Is BusDK free?
BusDK has both open and commercial parts. It is partly open source, but mostly commercial subscription-based software. The public foundations (bus, docs, and busdk.com) are open source, while many bus-* modules are commercially licensed source packages documented in BusDK source package pricing.
BusDK also provides free binary try-out releases, while source-code access is purchasable separately.
Are there subscription plans?
Yes. The public busdk.com pricing section presents subscription tiers for Base, Pro, and Enterprise. Plan limits and details are published there and should be treated as the current source for subscription presentation.
Are source-code packages priced separately?
Yes. Source package licensing is documented separately from subscription tiers. Source packages use Functional Source License terms, with an alternative contract path for commercial licensing described in BusDK source package pricing.
Where can I see generated module-level estimates?
Use the BusDK docs pricing page at BusDK source package pricing, which explains base estimates, dependency-inclusive estimates, and the current generator assumptions. These numbers are estimates, not final quotes.
What does “base estimate” vs “dependency-inclusive estimate” mean?
Base estimate covers only the selected module’s source release. Dependency-inclusive estimate includes that module and its dependencies as a transitive set. This pricing model is documented in BusDK source package pricing.
Are binaries and source treated the same way commercially?
No. The docs distinguish between free binary try-out availability and separately purchasable source access. For purchasing decisions, rely on the current commercial statements in busdk.com docs and treat BusDK source package pricing as generated estimate data.
Where should I check for current commercial prices?
Contact sales@hg.fi for current commercial prices and contract terms. The BusDK source package pricing page is generated from repository pricing data and includes timestamped estimate assumptions for source-package discussions.
